Privacy Notice

Devahname ("we", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data in line with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). This notice explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have over your data.

1. Data Controller

Devahname is the data controller for the information described below. For privacy enquiries, contact us at privacy@devahname.com.

2. What We Collect

When you use the free name checker, we may collect (only if you consent): your social-media handle, birth date, gender, optional real names (Thai and/or English), and the marketing preferences you select (channels, priority). We also collect non-identifying usage data — grade results, page views, clicks, and device type — via PostHog.

3. Purpose

We use your data to (a) run the name analysis you requested, (b) improve our service and naming science accuracy, and (c) — where consent is given — contact you with name-related guidance or offers.

4. Legal Basis

For name analysis you receive on the page: contract performance (you requested the reading). For data retention and follow-up marketing: explicit consent via the checkbox on the /check form. For aggregated analytics (no personal identifiers): legitimate interest in improving our service.

5. Retention

We keep consented submission data for 24 months from the date of submission, after which it is deleted. Anonymised analytics data may be kept indefinitely.

6. Your Rights

Under PDPA you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, or withdrawal of consent at any time. Email privacy@devahname.com to exercise any of these rights.
